We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our clients precision manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality plastic and aluminum components using CNC milling machines. Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Shift: Monday-Friday

Starting pay rate: $25.50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines using blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling and fixturing; adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
• Accurately document production data including inspections, setup sheets, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC milling experience.
• Ability to perform setups, operation, and minor program edits on CNC machines.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
• Familiarity with machining plastics and aluminum is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a CNC machining certification program or formal apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision parts.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and processes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for 8+ hours.
• Regular lifting of materials/parts up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and small components.
• Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Tolerance for working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature changes.
